ON THE COUCH: Week 10 NFL TV Listings for Eastern Iowa
By Brian Siguenza
If you haven’t set your fantasy lineups yet, do it now, especially if there are any Bears or 49ers on your team. The NFL Network kicks off its slate of Thursday Night Football games this week with Chicago at San Francisco, beginning at 7:20 p.m.
I’m going to start adding NFL Network listings for those of you who are lucky enough to get the channel. In the Cedar Rapids area, that includes subscribers to ImOn Communications. A few months ago, the cable provider added the standard-definition version on channel 146 and the HD version on channel 846. You may have seen the NFL Network logo riding around town on ImOn’s trucks.
North Liberty-based South Slope also carries the network in SD on channel 83 and in HD on channel 683. And of course, both DirecTV and Dish Network have NFL Network. Sorry, Mediacom customers, but it appears you won’t be getting the game.
Everyone in Eastern Iowa will get to see these games on Sunday, regardless of provider–or lack thereof:
- Cincinnati at Pittsburgh, noon on KGAN-Ch. 2. A battle for first place in the AFC North. What’s not to like about this game? (Announcers: Jim Nantz and Phil Simms)
- Detroit at Minnesota, noon on KFXA-Ch. 28. One of these teams is 7-1 and atop the NFC North, and the other team is the exact opposite. Bet you can’t guess which is which. (Announcers: Sam Rosen and Tim Ryan)
- Dallas at Green Bay, 3:15 p.m. on KFXA-Ch. 28. The Packers losing in Tampa to the winless Bucs is just as much of a kick in the stomach as losing at home to Northwestern. (Announcers: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman)
Next week, we’ll also include the Sunday night listings on a regular basis, as the flexible scheduling policy takes effect then. Information on Sunday games from The506.com and subject to change.
