Superman Brandon Routh Visits C.R.

Superman came to Cedar Rapids to help promote the cleanup efforts taking place in the Corridor.

Norwalk native Brandon Routh, who played the Man of Steel in “Superman Returns”, joined Sen. Tom Harkin, Rep. Dave Loebsack, Major Gen. Ron Dardis of the Iowa National Guard, and members of the community in recognizing local volunteers during a ceremony at the Community Recovery Center on Thursday. In return, volunteers thanked Harkin for his support of national service programs.

After the ceremony, Harkin, Loebsack and Routh helped AmeriCorps workers on a nearby house.
