Bever Zoo to Close for Season


Bever Park Zoo, including Old MacDonald’s Farm, and the Schuknecht Waterfowl Exhibit, will close for the season at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2009.

The zoo closes each fall and winter due to the seasonal nature of exhibits. Animals will be moved to their winter quarters and the facility will be winterized in anticipation of colder weather. The zoo will open again in late April for the 2010 season. Hours of operation through October 4 are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. (Information provided by the City of Cedar Rapids.)
