Flooded Arts Exhibition Showcases AmeriCorps VISTAs, Other Artists

Photographs, sculptures and other artwork from members of the VISTA Corridor Recovery initiative and other local artists will be on display and available for purchase during the Flooded Arts Exhibition, an art show being held on the main floor of the Cherry Building, 329 10th Ave. SE in Cedar Rapids, on Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Admission is $2 ($1 for students). Items from the gallery will be auctioned, as well as available for direct purchase, with proceeds going to Community Corrections Improvement Association, the sponsoring organization of VISTA Corridor Recovery.
Artists include VISTA volunteers Matthew Aswegan, Luisa Sondie and Tina Michaud, and local artist T.S. “Thor” Anderson.
